THE SCHOOL
 Sliema is a town for all ages; you can have a refreshing swim in the clear blue Mediterranean sea, shop till you drop or relax in an open-air café and watch the world go by; at night try your luck at the casino or in one of the numerous bars and clubs in nearby Paceville.
Our school of English is strategically situated on the Sliema seafront with breathtaking views of St Julian's Bay.
Sliema, the largest and most modern town on the island, boasts a fashionable residential area and a year round tourist resort. Our English language school is conveniently located a few metres away from the beach, close to both the commercial centre and to the nightlife district of Paceville. Sliema offers reliable public transport service making it easy to commute. The bus stop is less than 1 minute from our English language school.
COURSES
Course 20h
Lessons take place from Monday to Friday and there are 20 group lessons of 45 minutes each per week. The course covers the basic skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, together with grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The emphasis is on communication, which will enable the student to build up a rich vocabulary base, to improve communicative fluency and to develop confidence in the use of the language.
Course 30h
This course consists of 30 group lessons of 45 minutes each per week. The course is similar to that of General English 20 Group lessons but offers 10 extra group lessons per week for more intense learning. The course covers the basic skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, together with grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The emphasis is on communication, which will enable the student to build up a rich vocabulary base, to improve communicative fluency and to develop confidence in the use of the language.
Course 20h + 10h
Lessons take place from Monday to Friday and there are 20 group lessons of 45 minutes each per week. Additionaly, the students have 10 private classes in th afternoon. The course covers the basic skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, together with grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Students taking the General English Course in the morning may take supplementary afternoon private lessons to benefit from extra conversation practice or other special skills.
Course One-to-One
This course is recommended for those who wish to benefit from intensive personal tuition to make even more rapid progress and is designed to suit the needs of each individual student. The standard course offers the student 10 lessons of 45 minutes each per week. Extra lessons can normally be arranged on request. All levels are catered for.
 Examination Preparation 20h + 10h
Lessons take place from Monday to Friday and there are 30 lessons of 45 minutes each per week. The course is made up of 20 Group lessons in General English and 10 private lessons in specific exam coaching. We also offer the exam preparation courses with 20 Group lessons in General English and 10 Group lessons in specific exam coaching. The General English lessons focus on grammar, speaking, listening, reading and vocabulary developement giving the student the opportunity to improve all areas. During the private lessons or afternoon group lessons the student will develop the skills and tecniques needed to pass the exam.
Business English
This course is aimed at people who need to communicate effectively in English at work and covers those skills needed for making presentations, negotiating, writing letters, faxes, emails and reports, making and answering enquiries, telephoning and participating in meetings. At pre-intermediate levels and Elementary level this course is only offered as private tuition. Students at Intermediate to Advanced levels may opt for either private or group tuition.

FREE TIME
Our School of English offers a variety of social programmes designed to suit all pockets and to appeal to different age groups and interests. Our cultural excursions will take you back through
5,000 years of history, tracing the steps of the Phoenician s, the Romans, the Normans and the Knights of the Order of St John of Jerusalem. Our temples at Ggantija in Gozo and Hagar Qim and Mnajdra in Malta are the oldest prehistoric temples of this type in the world pre-dating even the pyramids in Egypt.
Malta boasts not only a concentration of history but also of sunshine. Thanks to its moderate climate tourists are provided with ample sports and leisure activities throughout the year from sub-aqua diving to golf. Sun worshippers will be thrilled to know that the sun shines for an average of 300 days per year so be it summer or winter you'll be sure to get a warm glow on your cheeks, if not a full-blown tan. If you're feeling more adventurous you can always hire a car and explore the Islands yourself.
ACCOMMODATION
- Host Family Accommodation
We can help you find suitable accommodation in Malta but, should you prefer to do so, you may also make your own arrangements. We have a selection of English speaking host families, apartments, hotels and guesthouses and will do our utmost to ensure that your accommodation in Malta is compatible with your needs. However, reservations in peak season are subject to availability.
- Apartments
For those students who require more independence and freedom, we have a range of
self-catering apartments close to our school premises to choose from. All apartments are fully furnished and include a washing machine, kitchen utensils with a cooker or microwave. Apartments are subject to availability and we re commend early bookings.
- Hotels or Guesthouses
A large number of hotels and guesthouses can be found in close proximity to the school. Hotels on our list range from two to five star and most have a TV in the room, air-conditioning and a swimming pool.
- School Residence
The School Residence is the ideal student accommodation located in the heart of Sliema just 5 minutes walk from the school. There are 18 comfortably furnished, self-catering apartments with one, two or three bedrooms. They can be booked as shared room, single room or single apartments. The maximum number of persons that will be accommodated in one bedroom is 2. Each bedroom has a safe deposit box.
The Residence is only available to students over 18 years of age.
All apartments are serviced by a lift and have a lounge and dining area, a kitchenette, a bathroom with toilet and either a terrace, balcony or windows. The residence also provides a coin operated launderette.
