FREE TIME
Our School offers a wide variety of optional activities for adults after class: theatre & cinema visits, pub crawls, greyhound racing, discotheques, football games, museum & gallery visits, TV shows, restaurant evenings, sightseeing, and Saturday excursions to towns outside London. There are normally four events each week. Activities held inside our english language school are free. Some outside activities (cinema, theatre etc) need to be paid for. Naturally, some students prefer to organise their own social activities, but our english language school always encourages students to mix with people of other nationalities, and to speak only English after class!
ACCOMMODATION
Most of the students choose the friendliness and economy of HOMESTAY with a local British host family. Homestays are all inspected, approved and allocated by u s. They are located in the north west area of Inner London - Travel Zones two or three - and the total journey time to school varies from about 2 minutes to about 40 minutes. SJW School is located in Travel Zone 2 . SJW hosts are mainly middle-aged couples, though some are retired, single or widowed, and some are younger, professional people. Homestay can be allocated to match the student's dietary, religious or other needs. Our host families are not teachers, but are talkative, amiable people, and we feel that the homestay experience can be an important and positive part of the student's stay in London.
There are four homestay options:
- Single room, with breakfast and evening meal
- Shared room, with breakfast and evening meal
- Single room, with breakfast only
- Shared room, with breakfast only
