THE SCHOOL
Our English language school was established in 1993 and has developed a reputation for its friendly and personal atmosphere, together with its attention to high academic standards of English teaching. However, our goal is to give the student more than just English Language Tuition.
Teachers and office staff mix and mingle with students in and out of school, and students leave knowing that they have experienced true Irish hospitality in an exciting and vibrant city on the west coast of Ireland. Located in the centre of the city of Galway, beside the main tourist office and bus/rail station and within one minute of Eyre Square, our school is the most central of the schools in Galway. There are views of the city and Galway Bay from our location.

Galway, the cultural capital of Ireland, is situated on the West Coast of Ireland. Travelling only three hours from Dublin you find yourself in a vibrant, young university city with a thriving business community. Galway is one of the fastest growing cities in Ireland with a population of 66,000. With the growth in the local economy, the tourism sector and third level education, Galway will soon be the third largest city in Ireland.
The town itself is celebrated its quincentenary in 1988, although its origins can be traced back much further. The medieval area of the town has been recently restored and many of the streets are pedestrianised, lending the city a “left bank” and bohemian atmosphere. This area is popular with young people from all over Ireland and Europe. The main street, Shop Street, winds through the centre, changing its character as it reaches the medieval area, from a street full of modern fashionable shops to one where you can find curiosity shops, cosy cafes and bars, and tiny restaurants.
During the summer, we organize social and cultural events twice a week, so that students get a real flavour of Galway and its surroundings.
Evening Entertainment:
- Traditional and Popular music concerts
- Theatre or Festival performance
- A visit to cinema or bowling
- School social evening in Galway’s best pub
- River Cruise
