 An ever changing scenery, the fascinating limestone formations of the Burren and the ruggedly romantic Atlantic coastline are only some of the attractions at Holywell.
The contrast between an open lush flora and sometimes bare areas create a bizarre and rugged but at the same time sensuous impression.
Our English language school is a unique type of language centre. English is taught at various levels and combined with cultural and leisure activities in unusual surroundings.
The entire operation includes the Language Centre and a Guesthouse situated in over 40 acres of land at the foot of the Burren hills with scenic views across Galway Bay.
COURSES
Course One-to-One 25h + 5h (lunch with tutor)
We are specialized in one to one courses. It is the most efficient and quickest way to learn
a language for those who require it for their work, for travelling or just for personal interest.
Our courses are tutored by university-qualified teachers who have extensive experience in teaching English as a foreign language.Courses combine tuition with guided excursions and cultural programmes with a special emphasis on intensive conversation.
This course caters for all levels from beginner to advanced. The in dividual attention of the one to one lesson allows the student to develop a range of language skills at his own pace thus greatly increasing their English Language competence in the areas most useful to them.
Depending on your level of English we can design a course to meet your specific needs and requirements.
The excursions are designed to provide further immersion and practice in English and to appeal to the students interests.
Business Course One-to-One 25h + 5h (lunch with tutor)
This course caters for business people who need to quickly improve their English language skills in
a range of professional business situations. The language is presented through contexts and topics which are directly relevant to the adult professional learner, and grammar structures are covered as they arise in the context of the functional language being taught.
The following everyday business functions are covered: meetings, making presentations, negotiating, telephoning, describing trends, making arrangements, English for social situations, writing business correspondence. Other skills areas are also covered on request, such as Medicine, Science, Technology, Diplomacy and International Relations, Air Traffic Control, Engineering, Aviation, Architecture, Law, Psychology, Policing, Agriculture and Computers.

FREE TIME
 Due to its variety of rare plants and animals, County Clare has become a paradise for nature lovers and walking enthusiasts.
Visitors with an interest in archaeology find prehistoric graves, remains from the Bronze and Iron ages, early Christian churches and abbeys, holy wells and medieval castles.
The picturesque fishing village of Ballyvaughan is situated on the shores of Galway Bay. A variety of cultural events and leisure activities attracts visitors every year. Ballyvaughan offers something for everybody - walking (Green Road), cycling, horse riding, golfing and swimming. Less active visitors may enjoy cultural events or just relax in beautiful natural surroundings.
Doolin is another attractive place to visit, the internationally famous centre of traditional Irish music. Ferries to the Aran Islands leave regularly from Doolin and the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher are only a stone’s throw away.
The colourful university town of Galway can be reached by car in about fifty minutes. The calendar of events offers programmes all year round. Galway’s many small streets, with cosy pubs, shops and cafés are a delight to all visitors to this lively harbour town. At Holywell we have a full range of activities which are carefully incorporated in your lesson plan and will make your days here unforgettable.
ACCOMMODATION
 One of the main advantages of our school is the fact that our guests stay in our own Guesthouse which allows them to avail of all facilities and enhances team spirit and communication.
Our bedrooms are all en suite and comfortably furnished in the antique style, so that you can relax in comfort, feeling the peace and quiet, for which Holywell is known.
Our cuisine is Gourmet vegetarian, homemade and prepared freshly day by day by our own chef. A delight are the homemade breads, the great variety of the salad buffet, the freshly squeezed juices, lunch and dinner using fresh local ingredients combined with a good glass of wine as well as the crystal clear water from our wells and the obligatory cappuccino or espresso after a wonderful meal. Our lunches are two course, our dinner three course meals.
