Private Tuition or One-to-One teaching gives you the opportunity to follow your own needs and agenda. You may wish to study a specialist subject or perhaps you need to improve your pronunciation, vocabulary or grammar skills. You may simply want to have intensive speaking practice. Whatever you wish to study, you and your teacher will decide the exact content and style of the lesson.
If you would like a mixture of Private Tuition (One-to-One) and General English classes, you may be interested in our Combination Courses. These consist of 15 hours General English per week, plus either 4.5 or 7.5 hours of private (One-to-One) lessons. Combination Courses cost from 244 GBP per week.
The school also has a self-study centre where you can practice listening, reading, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary outside classes.

Course details: General English lessons
- Mixed nationality classes
- Maximum of 12 students per class
- Minimum age 17
- All levels of English
- Main focus on speaking and listening skills
- Course content also includes grammar, vocabulary, functional everyday English and pronunciation
This is designed to give you a solid basis in English.
We use a variety of different ways to study the language - presentation, discussion,
problem-solving, written exercises, situational English, course books, authentic texts, video, audio-cassette, story-telling and questionnaires.
The main focus is on communication skills, particularly speaking and listening. Reading and writing exercises are regularly given in the form of homework.

LCCI Exam Course (Business English)
- 4-week courses
- 15 hours of lessons per week
- Two lessons a day of 90 minutes each, Monday to Friday

Course details
- Maximum of 12 students per class
- Minimum starting level: Intermediate and Higher Intermediate (Courses are at two levels)
- Focus on reading and writing for business purposes
- Course content includes the coursebook How to Pass English for Business, teachers' own material and exam practice
- Regular homework is set
- You can take the exam at the school at the end of the course
About LCCI
Our LCCI courses are at two levels: Level 1 (Intermediate) and Level 2 (Higher Intermediate). We will advise you as to which is more suitable for you. Both exams consist of just one paper that tests your ability in reading and writing for business purposes.
- Level 1 - (Intermediate) 2 hours
- Level 2 - (Higher Intermediate) 2.5 hours
On the course, we will give you the language and skills necessary to read and understand business correspondence and to write letters, memos, articles, reports, leaflets and notices.
The LWS is the local LCCI centre, so you will take the exam at the school. We have a very high pass rate for LCCI.
