Accommodation

ACCOMMODATION

If you’re going to take an English course abroad, it’s always a good idea to have somewhere to live during your course. Our schools offer many different types of accommodation. Below you can familiarise yourself with what we can offer.

Homestay/Host FamilyHomestay accommodation with idiomas.pro

What is a Homestay? It is the best and the fastest way to learn a language. You will live with a native family, which means you will have the opportunity to speak in english every day. You will be treated like part of the family. All families are chosen carefully in order to guarantee a safe and comfortable stay for our student. We also do our best to find families with the same hobbies as the student.

Most Homestays offer students the following:

  • A Private room which includes a bed, a clothes cupboard, a desk and a study lamp
  • Bed linen and towels
  • Three meals a day, seven days a week
  • Gas and electricity is included
  • Share living areas with family members

Usually students mix homestay with an English course. That is why we look for host families who live close to the choosen school.

Student ResidenceStudents in one of our many Student Residences

Most Student Residencies offer the following:

  • A Private room which includes a bed, a clothes cupboard, a desk and a study lamp
  • Ensuite bathroom
  • Gas and electricity is included
  • Board varies
  • Share living areas with other students

Shared ApartmentShared Apartments with idiomas.pro

Many of our students choose to stay in Shared Apartments. Each apartment has a kitchen, bathroom, living room and 3 to 4 bedrooms. Usually 4 to 6 people live in each apartment, and these are normally a mixture of students from around the world. A shared student apartment is an excellent choice, if you would like to cook for yourself and enjoy the experience of sharing an apartment with other students. Shared apartment accommodation gives you complete independence and is also a great way to meet people and make friends.

Usually the apartments are fully furnished and equipped, including washing machine and TV. You can choose to stay in a single room, or in a shared room.

Our self-catering apartments are usually located either within walking distance of the school, or else at a maximum of an hour by public transport, depending on the school.

*Due to the fact that the majority of our schools offer these kinds of accommodation, we invite you to take a look at what the school/city you are interested in offers before deciding where to you want to go.

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATION

Homestay with a Teacher

This is an excellent way for students to improve their English very quickly. Whilst living in the teacher's home, the student receives intensive one-to-one tuition. Living with the teacher means that the student is able to practise his/her English skills, both formally and socially.

Our schools carefully select only fully qualified, experienced teachers who hold the Cambridge CELTA qualification, or equivalent. When placing a student, we select a teacher who shares similar interests and is able to meet the specific requirements that the student needs.

This option is available in the following cities: Perth MPC, Kelowna IGK

Farm Stay

What is a Farm Stay?

Kelowna IGK
Farm stays offer a unique way to experience rural and ‘Western’ life in Canada. Students are placed on a ranch, orchard or farm of their choice from one to six weeks. There are many exciting activities to do on the farm or the ranch such as: horseback riding, hiking, fishing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, volleyball and arts and crafts. At the same time, you will learn about growing crops, training animals and most importantly practice your English conversation skills!
Students are provided a single room, shared bath and 3 meals per day and have access to laundry, telephone and television service. Internet service may be available usually at an additional charge. Students are required to volunteer 15 hours per week on the farm to offset the cost of their stay.

Byron Bay BBW
Students can live and work on a WWOOFA farm. These are organic farms situated on the Northern Coast, not far from Byron Bay. Students receive free board in exchange for 4-6 hours of work per day. This option is available after a student has completed a minimum two-week course.
